pMetrics

pMetrics (performancing Metrics) is a feature rich advanced Web statistics and visitor tracking solution offered by Performancing, Inc. The pMetrics module for Drupal lets you integrate this service easily in your Drupal site, provided you have signed up for pMetrics.

The basic functionality for accessing the pMetrics Web services API and integrating the tracking code using a block is implemented in the pmetrics.module. To only integrate the tracking code you need to enter your Site ID. If you want to access data collected by pMetrics you also need to enter your Site Key.

Other functionality such as displaying statistical data is offered via pluggable modules that are (will be) contained in the release packages. The data requested via the API is returned as a serialized PHP object and stored in the pmetrics_cache database table. The minimum cache lifetime is currently set to one hour to not excessively use this service. Data accessible via the pMetrics API is cached for 30 minutes anyway.

The current development release contains the pmetrics_popular.module that lets you access data on referrers, outgoing links, most visited pages, top entry and exit points and more.

Permissioning currently allows you to grant access to all popular data including percentage values, and access to total counts. Permissions will be more granular in the first stable release.

This development release is meant for testing, debugging, and proposing features and enhancements. I do NOT recommend to use this on production sites.

Information about the pMetrics Service

To use the pMetrics module you need to sign up for the pMetrics service. A basic pMetrics account is free of charge for up to 3 sites with up to 1,000 average daily page views per site. If you have more page views and or sites and want to go on using this service after the free trial period you need to upgrade your account to Blogger or Pro / Small business and pay for the service.

As a user of this service you automatically become an affiliate and can earn a commission for referring other people to this service. The links on this page to Performancing are referral links. For those who don't know their site, it is a Drupal site.
